About
Georgia Favor Track Club offers track along with other track and field trips and events. The program also includes personal fitness programs, physical education programs, and engaging and fun recreational activities. Participants can also take part in the It Takes a Village Learning Loss program, the It Takes A Village Food Program, and activities in an edible educational garden.
Subrenia is the President and Founder of Georgia Favor House and holds a USATF Level 1 Coach Certification. Rex Willis, Sr. is part of the leadership team and holds Georgia High School Association Certification and USATF Level 1 Coach Certification. The club has been producing champions on and off the track since 2005. The mission at Georgia Favor House is to motivate and inspire local youth and their families through personal fitness and physical education programs, and to build athletic spirits through engaging and fun recreational activities. The organization’s mission also includes providing resources and support programs that create a safe and nurturing environment for the community through an edible educational garden where children learn about nutrition, the environment, sustainability, and access healthy, organic produce. The It Takes a Village Learning Loss program is designed to provide targeted interventions to students who experienced significant disruptions to their learning due to the pandemic and to address gaps in foundational skills and knowledge while supporting progress toward grade-level standards. The It Takes A Village Food Program operates 8 days a month, addressing food security concerns in the community and providing healthy snacks and evening meals to children in other programs, with evening meals sent home feeding not only the youth but, in many cases, multiple generations in the household. The program has a stated goal to provide several awards as well as gifts, grants, and scholarships for children with unlimited potential in the future.
