Billy Lancaster Forestry Youth Camp is Georgia’s five-day summer Forestry Youth Camp where middle school students investigate the wonders of forest and wildlife ecology. Campers learn how to identify trees and discover the value and importance of forests in their daily lives. They also spend time with professionals who manage Georgia’s forest land and with others who work in the forest products industry. Camp is coming July 12-16, 2026.

The Billy Lancaster Forestry Youth Camp was founded in 1988 by the late Billy Lancaster. Billy Lancaster was a long-time supporter and promoter of forestry and raised funds to support the camp. Because of his dedicated efforts, hundreds of Georgia’s youth have learned about the value and importance of Georgia’s forests and wildlife in their everyday lives.
