Carrington Academy Summer Camp

Carrington Academy Summer Camp is part of Carrington Academy, which offers daycare, preschool education, before and after care, and summer camp for children in South Forsyth County and the greater Atlanta area. Campers take part in classroom experiences that use research-based instruction, small group learning, and individualized support. The program uses the Links to Learning proprietary curriculum, which includes academic readiness, STEM exploration, and social-emotional learning across seven core areas: Language & Literacy, Mathematical Thinking, Social-Emotional Learning, Wellness, Creative Expression, Scientific Exploration, and Citizens of the World.

Carrington Academy Summer Camp operates within a school network that includes campuses in Alpharetta–Avalon, Cumming–Kelly Mill Road, Cumming–Windermere, Suwanee, and Braselton. The program is part of Carrington Academy, which is a member of Spring Education Group, a network of private schools. Music and art classes have been built into tuition and offered at no extra cost since the early years of the school, and dual-language instruction and a fine arts program were early distinguishing features. Carrington Academy was founded in 2001, with additional campuses opening in 2007, 2013, 2016, 2017, and 2018. The leadership team includes Principal Jenna Poss.

The mission of Carrington Academy Preschool on Kelly Mill Road is to provide the communities of Vickery, Dunn, West Bank, and Coal Mountain with an educational experience grounded in academic excellence and genuine care. Families describe the school community as one where teachers are caring and professional, personalize learning, and offer nurturing and warm interactions with students. Parents report that their children enjoy going to school, show progress in reading and math, and receive daily updates about what they are learning.
