Montessori School of Cumming

Montessori School of Cumming offers activities such as gardening, cooking, sewing, and preparing bread dough. Children also work with materials like the cursive movable alphabet to create phonetic sentences and may study off-site. Students harvest from their classroom garden as part of their regular experiences.

Montessori School of Cumming uses authentic AMI Montessori classrooms with multi-age groupings and includes outdoor classrooms, a nature trail, a classroom garden, and a beautiful playground. The Elementary Classroom includes physical specimens for students to study. According to its mission statement, the Montessori School of Cumming serves the individual needs of children by engaging their inherent love of learning to joyfully foster academic excellence, nurture personal growth, inspire creativity, and promote cultural awareness. The school describes itself as a global community with children, parents, and staff from all over the world, and families are encouraged to share their culture with the classroom and the school. Scholarships are given based on need and funds available.
