About
Science of Fun STEM Camp includes hands-on projects such as designing snow globes, creating magnetic mazes, and tackling brick-holding challenges. Campers race Hex Bugs across homemade ziplines, experiment with marble runs, craft moving parts using simple machines, and make glowing LED creatures and calming bottles with color and motion. They also engineer puppets that star in mini shows, sculpt with air-dry clay, make scratch art, design buttons, experiment with Orbeez, build their own terrariums, launch tiny rockets, blast pompom poppers, and whip up foamy reactions, big bubbles, and cloud dough. Additional activities include creating colorful chromatography art, building gumdrop molecules, experimenting with solids and liquids using creative cookie labs, testing how heat and cold change food textures, mixing “eye-scream” cupcakes, learning Oreo moon phases, constructing marshmallow towers, creating colorful potato stamps, and making homemade ice cream.

Science of Fun STEM Camp features four summer camp themes for 2026: Daring Designs: Build Big, Maker's Mania: Tech Meets Art, Radical Reactions: Chemistry in Action, and Food Fun: Kitchen Chemistry Adventures. The program uses hands-on science and is led by certified teachers in a safe, well-supervised environment. Nut-free and gluten-free options are available for most labs, and families are asked to list all allergies at registration. The camp states “Real Science. Real Fun.” and notes that summer camp early registration is open, and this week always ends with homemade ice cream. The program is led by Kris, who is referenced in a parent testimonial and contact email ([email protected]), and families can also see camp activities on Instagram at @ScienceofFun.
One parent shared that their child attended the Daring Designs camp and, after a difficult year of bullying, came home calm, happy, and peaceful after the week. The parent thanked Kris and the team for their guidance, expertise, and classroom control, and mentioned that their child brought home items from camp that the whole family enjoyed.
