About
Camp Sunshine offers activities such as swimming, horseback riding, and arts and crafts. At camp, children take part in these activities with others who share similar experiences with childhood cancer. Camp Sunshine’s biggest event includes brothers, sisters, and parents along with the child who has cancer.

Camp Sunshine enriches the lives of Georgia’s children with cancer and their families through recreational, educational, and support programs. It offers year-round programs for children and families, including Summer Camp, Family Programs, Teen Programs, Sibling Programs, Junior Camper Programs, Preschool Programs, Hospital Programs, Young Adult Programs, Parent Programs, and Bereavement Programs. Camp Sunshine is committed to providing opportunities for normal development for all children with cancer throughout their journey and brings together those with similar experiences to share and draw strength from one another amid common understanding. Camp Sunshine is dedicated to creating a sense of place where children with cancer can be kids again and provides a community of support for children and families, emphasizing trust and accountability, inclusivity and respect, a nurturing, compassionate, and safe environment, and fun.
Camp Sunshine has trained professionals in the childhood cancer journey, and medical professionals can administer treatment to children with cancer. All volunteers participate in an extensive application and training process and must pass a background check. Camp Sunshine is an accredited camp of the American Camp Association and has been designated as a Gold Ribbon Camp by Children’s Oncology Camping Association, International. Camp Sunshine gratefully acknowledges corporate partners who have made multi-year donations of financial and/or in-kind services in excess of $50,000 to support campers and their families.
