The Sunshine House of Evans offers programs for infants, toddlers, explorers and early preschool, preschool, Pre-K, and Georgia Pre-K, as well as before and after school, summer camp, and school break care. Children participate in school readiness, literacy, Spanish, sign language, and character development programs. The program includes healthy meals and snacks, with vegetarian options always available.

The Sunshine House of Evans uses classroom cameras in each classroom, with a live feed viewable from the lobby or director’s office, and shares photo and video updates, daily reports, menus, calendars, and messaging through the MySunshineHouse mobile app. Daycare tuition includes nutritious meals planned by a licensed nutritionist. The program offers flexible full-time and part-time options and provides transportation in its afterschool program from Evans Elementary, Lewiston Elementary, Martinez Elementary, and Westmont Elementary each afternoon.
The Sunshine House organization has been in operation since 1975 and has grown to over 100 schools, all built on the mission of providing high-quality care and education for every child and family every day. The Sunshine House of Evans is a GA Quality Rated school that uses an award-winning curriculum, and each Sunshine House is state-licensed and regularly inspected, with most schools holding additional state quality ratings and accreditations. The program states that it is deeply rooted in the communities it serves and partners with organizations to help create a better world.
The leadership team at The Sunshine House of Evans includes Director Roberta Williams, who has worked in the childcare industry since 2006 and served as an Assistant Director for more than 10 years, and Assistant Director Brittany Mitchell, who holds an associate’s degree in Culinary Arts from Helms College. Families have shared that their children are excited to attend, that staff are caring and loving, and that they feel like part of an extended family, with several parents noting academic growth, use of sign language, and long-term relationships with teachers and staff.
