The British Academy of Performing Arts (BAPA) – Dance & Performing Arts Programs offers Mini Class Programs, open dance classes, musical theatre, dance company, acting, vocals, and BAPA Kickers, along with adult classes. Students can take classes in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, contemporary, yoga, and K pop. BAPA uses its in-house Performance Space, The Black Box Theatre, for frequent showings of work-in-progress.

Established in 1988, BAPA is celebrating its 38th season. The program includes company auditions for Ballet Dance Co., Competition Dance Co., Musical Theatre Co., Musical Theatre Competition Co., and Junior Theatre Festival. BAPA offers a Free Class Pass and a 7 Day Class Pass, and has 6 studios with 9 different styles of classes available for students from ages 2 through to adult and seniors classes. Instruction is given by faculty members who are professionals in the industry, including renowned professionals from around the world.
The leadership team includes Marsha Newton (Ma., PGCE, BA Hons), Co-owner and Director of The British Academy of Performing Arts; Miss Kim, Co-Owner and Rehearsal Coach; and Miss Kaylan, Co-Owner and Rehearsal Coach. The mission at BAPA is to empower every student to realize their artistic potential by creating an environment where every student has the opportunity to “shine” through enthusiasm, hard work, dedication, fun, instruction by expert professionals and teachers, frequent showings of work-in-progress in The Black Box Theatre, valuing and developing all students’ talents, and encouraging a genuine love and appreciation for the performing arts.
