The Art Place – Mountain View

The Art Place – Mountain View offers year-round programs where participants can take part in painting, drawing, pottery, dance, and drama. The center provides visual and performing arts activities in flexible spaces that support these classes and programs.

• Schedule: Open Monday–Thursday 9am–9pm and Saturday 9am–12pm, with programs offered year-round

The Art Place – Mountain View is a Cobb County Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs facility that began in 1986 when Cobb County leased and converted a former restaurant into the Steeple House Arts Center. It presents gallery exhibitions, community events, theatre productions, and the free summer series Scene on the Green, which features outdoor movies, concerts, and live theatre. The center offers rotating classes for adults, teens, and children throughout the year and delivered over 74 summer arts camps in 2025, ranging from pottery intensives to theatre and cabaret programs. It hosts more than 10 community events annually, and its Black Box Theater, conference room, and classrooms are available to rent for arts-related organizations, rehearsals, meetings, and performances.
