The Art Place – Mountain View

The Art Place – Mountain View offers year-round programs in painting, drawing, pottery, dance, drama, and related arts activities. It also presents gallery exhibitions, theatre productions, outdoor movies, concerts, live theatre, and the free summer series Scene on the Green. In 2025, it delivered over 74 summer arts camps, including pottery intensives, theatre programs, and cabaret programs, along with rotating classes for adults, teens, and children throughout the year.

• Schedule: Open Monday–Thursday 9am–9pm and Saturday 9am–12pm, with additional programs and camps offered throughout the year

The Art Place – Mountain View began in 1986 when Cobb County leased and converted a former restaurant into the Steeple House Arts Center at Johnson Ferry and Paper Mill Roads. It is a Cobb County PARKS Facility and a Cobb County Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs Facility, with a Black Box Theater, gallery, pottery studio, conference room, and multipurpose classrooms. The Black Box Theater, conference room, and classrooms are available to rent for arts-related organizations, rehearsals, meetings, and performances.

The Art Place – Mountain View offers gallery exhibitions, community events, and hosts more than 10 community events annually in addition to regular arts programming. It remains a central resource for arts education and community programming in East Cobb and continues to grow as a hub for arts education, cultural programming, and creative community experiences in Cobb County.
