About

Wood Acres School Summer Camp takes place on an outdoor campus where students walk to class, have daily recess time, build sandcastles in a giant sandbox, and share picnic lunches on the campus quad. Camp days also include time in an outdoor classroom where students highlight their learning for parents and the larger school community. Students experience a bilingual environment and outdoor learning as part of the camp day.

• Ages: 2–13 years old

Founded in 1969, Wood Acres School has provided education to families in the Roswell, Marietta, and Sandy Springs areas since that time. The school is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC) for its preschool, elementary, and middle school programs and has been named a 2026 Grade A School by Niche. Its GAC-accredited preschool, elementary, and middle school offer private school education from age 2 years through 8th grade, with a curriculum that is backward mapped from 8th grade graduation goals in a process called the Wood Acres Advantage. The school’s mission states that teachers work with each child to help them thrive academically while also building character, communication skills, and teamwork, and students gather as a school community for both large school-wide events and small classroom moments of learning.
