Code Ninjas Camps follows a mission of turning screen time into skill time and states that coding is just the beginning, with a focus on developing the next generation of problem solvers, creators, and leaders. The program uses Outcome-Based Learning, which is described as a student-centered approach that emphasizes setting clear learning goals and designing activities and assessments that enable learners to achieve those goals. Its curriculum is developed with creation in mind to allow students to express imagination and have ownership over their creations.

Code Ninjas is described as the world’s largest and fastest-growing kids' coding franchise, with hundreds of locations in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, and it has received the ISTE Seal of Approval. Camps are guided by a team of Code Senseis and use the proprietary IMPACT learning platform, which is designed to give Ninjas a tailored learning track through Belts, live feedback on their progress, and support in developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and logical reasoning skills. The Code Ninjas Prodigy Program offers Ninjas the chance to interact with leaders from large technology and gaming companies, visit headquarters such as Microsoft in Seattle, WA, including Microsoft’s Garage, and meet teams such as the Microsoft Minecraft team, Microsoft MakeCode team, XBOX, Bing, and AI.

The program states that it provides a safe and welcoming learning environment for kids outside of school and encourages students to use their coding skills to make a positive impact on the community, such as creating apps or websites to solve local problems. Parent testimonials describe children enjoying the program, being excited to show what they made, coding their first game within minutes, and growing in their interest in coding, with comments noting friendly teachers, excellent staff, and positive impact on problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
