Jimmie Lee Smith Community Center Sports, Education & Summer Programs

Jimmie Lee Smith Community Center Sports, Education & Summer Programs offers activities that include Spring Madness League Players and Spring Madness League Teams, along with a Spring Basketball Schedule. The program includes events and activities such as the RUN & GUN CLASSIC, Get The Edge, JLSCC ELITE BALLERS, Pickleball, a Summer Basketball Mini-Camp, a BASKETBALL ACADEMY, and SUMMER CAMP. The center also lists School Breaks, Virtual Learning, an Events Calendar, Community Activities, a 10th Yr Anniversary, Silver Sneaker, Ticket Drawings, and food and clothing drives as part of its offerings.

• Schedule: Open Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm; Saturday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (later if hosting an event); Sunday 12 Noon to 9:00 pm

The Jimmie Lee Smith Community Center is used exclusively for Sports, Education and Entertainment (S.E.E.), and is described as a place where “LOVE” is personal, the “WORD” is practical and the “PEOPLE” are passionate. JLSCC is a 501 c 3 not for profit corporation. Dr. Ruth W. Smith is the President of the Jimmie Smith Community Center, holds a Master’s in Biblical Counseling and a Doctorate in Ministry from Biblical Life College and Seminary in Marshfield, Missouri, and serves as Senior Pastor of Light of the World Christian Tabernacle International and Archbishop of The Light of The World Christian Tabernacle International Association. In 2013 she received the “Torch Bearer” award by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) for her work as a scholar and spiritual leader committed to the ideals and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Through her leadership at The Light she champions community support through food and clothing drives.
