Jimmie Lee Smith Community Center Youth Sports & Camps offers activities that include Spring Madness League Players and Spring Madness League Teams, along with a Spring Basketball Schedule. The program features basketball-focused options such as the RUN & GUN CLASSIC, Get The Edge, JLSCC ELITE BALLERS, a Summer Basketball Mini-Camp, and a BASKETBALL ACADEMY. The Jimmie Lee Smith Community Center (JLSCC) is used exclusively for Sports, Education and Entertainment (S.E.E.). JLSCC is a 501 c 3 not for profit corporation. JLSCC states that it is a place where “LOVE” is personal, the “WORD” is practical and the “PEOPLE” are passionate. Dr. Ruth W. Smith serves as President of the Jimmie Smith Community Center and holds a Master’s in Biblical Counseling and a Doctorate in Ministry from Biblical Life College and Seminary in Marshfield, Missouri. Archbishop Ruth W. Smith also serves as Senior Pastor of Light of the World Christian Tabernacle International, and The Late Archbishop Jimmie Lee Smith is listed as Visioner. Through her leadership at The Light, she champions community support through food and clothing drives. In 2013 she received the “Torch Bearer” award by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) for her work as a scholar and spiritual leader committed to the ideals and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
