Suwanee Academy of the Arts offers dance lessons including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary dance, and Acrobatic Arts classes. The program also offers music lessons such as Kindermusik classes, private piano lessons, guitar lessons, voice lessons, and violin lessons, along with drama classes that include acting exercises, improvisation, and performance opportunities. Additional options include Enchanted Princess, Broadway Bodacious Burger, and Discover Dance summer camps, custom choreography services for quinceañeras, sweet sixteens, and weddings, studio tours, and adult offerings.

Suwanee Academy of the Arts states that its mission is “Inspiring a love of the Performing Arts they will treasure for life” and describes itself as an innovative, comprehensive performing arts academy with comprehensive curriculums taught by dynamic, caring instructors. The program describes itself as a nurturing home where musical, dramatic, and dance students can study, and as a supportive family environment where both students and staff are encouraged to achieve the highest artistic standards. It hosts dance classes for dancers ranging between two and eighteen years of age, offers Kindermusik options for infants to seven-year-olds, features a Broadway in the Park event with Disney’s The Lion King Jr. and Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids, and welcomes adult beginners to the viola and violin studio.

The staff includes instructors with a range of training and experience. Elana Notle has been teaching private viola and violin for over 35 years, studied with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra musicians Peter Haase, Ronda Respess, and Paul Murphy, teaches both traditional and Suzuki methods, and has completed Suzuki Book 1 training. Marissa Brown earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance from Shorter University. Dr. Miaomiao Wang has held coaching and faculty roles with multiple opera organizations and universities, released a CD titled “Lotus Out of Water,” won the First Hope Cup Piano Competition in Beijing, collaborated with composers Jake Heggie, Samuel Adler, and Tom Cipullo, taught collaborative piano masterclasses in the U.S. and China, most recently taught and coordinated the Collaborative Piano Department at Georgia State University, and holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from Boston University, a Graduate Diploma from New England Conservatory, and a Master of Music from the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, and was a student of Zhou Guangren. Helen Yu Park is a Juilliard graduate who debuted with New York City Opera, performed at the Metropolitan Opera in Wagner’s The Ring cycle, made her Broadway debut in The King and I, and has given master classes and private lessons in opera and musical theater in several locations including New York City, Toronto, Michigan, New Jersey, and Georgia. Alejandra Naranjo is a 19-year-old Honduran-American dancer and business student at Georgia Gwinnett College, has danced with Suwanee Ballet for the past three years, and is in her second year teaching Acrobatic Arts classes at Suwanee Academy of the Arts. Annette Mechling is a Licensed Kindermusik Educator who ran a Kindermusik business for 27 years in San Diego teaching 14 classes each week, has been designated a Top Program by Kindermusik International for many years, holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Redlands and a Master of Music from the University of Michigan in Flute Performance, works as a free-lance flutist, and taught flute for many years before starting her Kindermusik work. The leadership team includes Marie Bagley as Customer Concierge.

Suwanee Academy of the Arts notes that it serves families from the Suwanee, Duluth, Sugar Hill, Johns Creek, Lawrenceville, and Buford communities and beyond, and it promotes Suwanee Performing Arts, a nonprofit organization, by inviting families to learn about its upcoming events and live performances.
