O2B Kids Summer Camp

O2B Kids Summer Camp includes field trips to local attractions such as museums, libraries, parks, historical landmarks, bowling, skating, hiking, and ice cream trucks, along with water days and water play. Campers take part in counselor-led outside adventures, outdoor sports, Play Village fun, Neighborhood Time, Specialty Classes, Character Education Activities, and activities in spaces such as the Science Lab, Art Studio, Tech Lab, Theater, Dance Studio, Gymnastics Academy, Big Toy, Book Nook, Building Things, Mind Gym, Hollywood Hangout, Play Cafe, Play Market, Word Find, It Takes Two, and Toddler Play. Weekly themes include Game Show, Pirates & Mermaids, Everyday is a Holiday, Shark Week, Retro Remix, Summer Olympics, Magic & Fantasy, Art in Action, and Fast Forward Time Machine, with activities such as tournaments, teamwork and strategy games, fantasy and creative play, ooey gooey science experiments and messy play, contests and competitions, Color Wars with games and color theory, celebrations and stories, marine biology and ocean and animal life, history and music across past, present and future, physical fitness and goal-focused activities, adventure, imagination and storytelling, STEAM projects using different materials, and invention, exploration and discovery.

O2B Kids Summer Camp is a week-to-week program, and families can choose specific weeks or attend all summer. A sample daily schedule includes early drop-off at 7:00am, a morning meet-up, snacks, internal field trips, lunch at 12:30pm, weekly theme activities, Camper’s Choice times, and Neighborhood Time in the afternoon.

Bus drivers are trained and certified, have an active CDL license with appropriate endorsements, undergo regular license checks, DOT physicals, pre-employment drug tests and random drug tests, are CPR and First Aid Certified, are 25 years old or older, and meet annual training requirements. All staff undergo federal and state background checks, are First Aid and CPR trained, and participate in an O2B University Counselor Development Program.

O2B Kids was established in 1998, with the first 34,000 square-foot O2B Kids SuperCenter opening in Gainesville, FL that year, after the founders began planning the concept in 1992 following a one-year journey around the world. O2B Kids celebrated 25 years of business in August 2023. O2B Kids states that its core purpose is: “We exist to help parents grow happy, successful kids,” and that it is “a place that opens minds, improves self-confidence, develops social skills, and strengthens bodies” and “helps children discover hidden talents and promotes a passion for discovery.”

Every O2B Kids location is Nationally Accredited or in the process of becoming Nationally Accredited, and recognitions listed for O2B Kids include awards such as Best Child Care, Favorite Local Preschool, Favorite Local After School Program, Best Preschool, Best Youth Education/Recreation, Top 25 Preschool, and Best Summer Camp from various publications and organizations. O2B Kids runs the O2B a Kid Again fundraiser supporting public school systems in the communities they serve, which has raised over $500,000 for local public schools, and awards Preschool, Afterschool and Membership Scholarships through the O2B Kids Founders’ Club Scholarships totaling more than $160,000, along with hosting Parent Night Fundraisers and participating in local festivals, school carnivals, art shows and fundraising events.
