About
A Kid's World Early Learning Center offers gardening classes led by a Garden Educator, yoga classes, and a music educational program. Children plant seeds, tend to the garden, and care for chickens, including collecting eggs and interacting with a bearded dragon named Lizzie the Leaping Lizard. The program also hosts in-house visitors such as science wizards, reptile wranglers, mascots, and magicians, and includes learning from a gardening expert who visits weekly while partnering with Small Bites Adventure Club to encourage children to live a healthy lifestyle.
• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Schedule: Full-day options Monday–Friday, with hours varying by location within a 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM range, plus a 6-week intensive academic summer program for rising kindergarteners who meet the application criteria
• Price: Free 6-week intensive academic summer program for rising kindergarteners who qualify
All teachers at A Kid's World Early Learning Center complete background checks, CPR, and First Aid, and they complete 18 hours of continuing education per year, and every lead teacher has credentials. The program uses the Funnydaffer Early Childhood Curriculum and includes enrichment such as the music educational program, gardening classes, and yoga in tuition. The center is family-owned and operated and uses the parent communication app Procare Connect for direct messaging teachers, photos, and updates.
A Kid's World Early Learning Center states the mission “Where Quality Care & Educational Excellence Meet,” and “Specializing In Building The Foundation For Successful, Lifelong Learners,” and “We Believe Socioeconomic Status Should NEVER Stand Between A Child And A Quality Early Education.” The program accepts CAPS at all three locations and offers discounts for military families. It partners with Small Bites Adventure Club and supports the local agricultural community through the Farm to Early Care and Education initiative.
The center has an extra-large playground that is double the size of the center, a garden that includes chickens, and a Certified Nature Explore outdoor classroom, which is noted as one of only eight in Georgia. Onsite, a chef prepares fresh, kid-friendly meals and snacks at no extra cost. Professional cleaners scrub and sanitize every high-traffic area daily.
A Kid's World Early Learning Center has state-of-the-art security features, including 17 internal use cameras throughout the facility, an automatic magnetic lock with keypad, a push-to-exit button that is out of reach of children, and exterior exits for fire drills in all classrooms. Many schools and pre-kindergarten programs refer children with school readiness challenges to this center. The program has been recognized by the governor for its commitment to the Farm to Early Care and Education initiative and is a 2022 Georgia Organics & Quality Care For Children Farmer Champion Award winner for outstanding support of the local food movement.
