About

A Kid’s World Early Learning Center offers activities that include a music educational program, gardening classes led by a Garden Educator, yoga classes, and in-house visitors such as science wizards, reptile wranglers, mascots, magicians, and a bearded dragon named Lizzie the Leaping Lizard. Children take part in planting seeds and tending to the garden, caring for and collecting eggs from chickens, and learning from a gardening expert who visits weekly. The program partners with Small Bites Adventure Club to encourage children to live a healthy lifestyle.

• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, with full-day hours and a 6-week intensive academic summer program for rising kindergarteners who meet the application criteria

A Kid’s World Early Learning Center states a mission of “Where Quality Care & Educational Excellence Meet” and “Specializing In Building The Foundation For Successful, Lifelong Learners,” and describes a holistic approach to developing the whole child through nature, community, and kindness. The program uses the Funnydaffer Early Childhood Curriculum, which incorporates research-based early learning standards, and offers programs by age including Infant (6 weeks–6 months and 6 months–1 year), Toddler (1–2 years), Preschool (3–4 years), Pre-K Prep (3.5–4 years), Georgia Pre-K (4–5 years), Private Pre-K (4–5 years), AKW Bridge, Before & After School (5 years+), and Summer Camp (5–12 years). Enrichment programs such as the music educational program, gardening classes, and yoga classes are included in tuition.

The center describes safety and security as the number one priority and includes 17 internal use cameras, an automatic magnetic lock with keypad, a push-to-exit button placed out of reach of children, and exterior exits for fire drills in all classrooms. Families use the Procare Connect parent communication app for direct messaging with teachers, photos, and updates. The program accepts CAPS at all three locations, offers discounts for military families, and is family-owned and operated. Sick days are built into packages, with 10 sick days for full-time and 5 for part-time, with a pro-rated price deducted from weekly tuition, and part-time care with flexible scheduling is available.

Children have access to an extra-large playground that is double the size of the center, a garden that includes chickens, and a Certified Nature Explore outdoor classroom, which is noted as one of only eight in Georgia. An onsite chef prepares fresh, kid-friendly meals and snacks at no extra cost, and parents are welcome to take some garden vegetables home. Daily professional cleaners scrub and sanitize every high-traffic area, and teachers encourage healthy handwashing habits.

All teachers are required to complete background checks, CPR, First Aid, and 18 hours of continuing education per year, and every lead teacher has credentials and attends training courses. Many schools and pre-kindergarten programs refer children with school readiness challenges to A Kid’s World Early Learning Center, which determines children’s academic levels and creates personalized lesson plans, partnering with parents and, on occasion, inclusion officers through the state. The program offers a 6-week intensive academic summer program for rising kindergarteners who meet the application criteria, which is free for those who qualify.

A Kid’s World Early Learning Center partners with Small Bites Adventure Club to encourage children to live a healthy lifestyle and supports the local agricultural community. The program is a Georgia Organics & Quality Care For Children Farmer Champion Award Winner for outstanding support of the local food movement, has a Certified Nature Explore outdoor classroom, and has been recognized by the governor with a commendation for committing to the Farm to Early Care and Education initiative and for a commitment to wellness.
