• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: Teen Leadership Academy runs during the academic year, August to April; diagnosis-specific camps are 6-day, 5-night sleepaway sessions, and diagnosis-specific weekend camps are 3-day, 2-night sessions
• Price: Campers attend at little to no cost to their family.
Camps are specially designed and staffed so that kids with medical or physical conditions can participate with a community of children who share similar experiences, including diagnosis-specific 6-day, 5-night sleepaway camps and diagnosis-specific 3-day, 2-night weekend camps. Family camp weekends are structured for the entire family, including siblings, parents, and caregivers. Camp on the Move brings therapeutic camp-themed activities to patients and siblings in hospitals and clinics across the Children’s system. Camp programs are hosted in collaboration with Camp Twin Lakes, which provides fully accessible facilities and trained program staff to facilitate activities, allowing Children’s staff to focus on the medical, social, and emotional needs of campers.
The mission of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Camps and Teen Leadership Programs is that every child deserves to experience summer camp. Camp programs are hosted in collaboration with Camp Twin Lakes, a network of camps providing programs to Georgia’s children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and other life challenges. The generosity and support of donors allows campers to attend at little to no cost to their family, and corporations, foundations, and community partners support the camps through multi-year donations. All proceeds from the Spring Classic Baseball Game at Truist Park benefit the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is ranked among the best in the nation on the U.S. News & World Report “Best Children’s Hospitals” list 2024–25. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has earned Pediatric Readiness Designation from the Georgia Department of Public Health and is the first pediatric healthcare system in Georgia to receive this designation. Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Health Care Champion Awards honors innovative and influential health care leaders in metro Atlanta and beyond, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta celebrates winners in the 2026 Health Care Champion Awards.
