Metropolis School of the Performing Arts offers private music lessons for all ages in voice, piano, violin, guitar, percussion, and trumpet. It also offers private coaching for all ages in acting, auditions, business of acting, on-camera acting, dialects, non-musical voice for actors, dance, voice, instrumental music, and music theory.

About the provider

Metropolis School of the Performing Arts is a 2025 ITA award-winning performing arts school. It received the Illinois Theatre Association’s 2025 Award of Excellence in Creative Drama/Theatre for Young Audiences. The school serves the northwest suburbs of Chicago, including Arlington Heights, Palatine, Mt. Prospect, Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg, Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Wheeling, Prospect Heights, Des Plaines, and more.

Scholarships are available for all classes, lessons, camps and workshops; applications are open year-round. Group class payment is due in full at registration. There is a non-refundable $40 fee for all withdrawn registrations. No refunds will be made once the second week of classes begins. Private students may receive a thirty minute trial lesson for a fee of $30. Private coaching trial for new students is $40. For private lessons, 24 hours’ notice is required for an excused absence; one make-up lesson per 4 month period is offered if notice is given.
