About
River Trails Junior Tennis Programs include junior tennis lessons, a Junior Tennis Academy, tennis camp and summer camp, junior tennis tournaments, and tennis drills such as serving drills, running and strategy exercise, and tic tac toe tennis exercise. The programs take place at a tennis center that also offers tennis leagues, USTA teams, outdoor tennis, cardio tennis, adult tennis lessons, and pickleball. Some junior activities include a cool down at RT Summer Camp as part of the session structure.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Program and facility hours are available Monday–Sunday, with opening times ranging from 6:30am–8:00am and closing times ranging from 8:00pm–11:00pm
River Trails Junior Tennis Programs are part of a tennis center that has been known for over 50 years as “The Players’ Club” and first opened in 1971. The center’s mission is to foster an environment of learning, camaraderie and health through the game of tennis. Founding partner and first General Manager Nelson Campbell received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Chicago District Patrons in 2004. The center has hosted numerous USTA League teams, including national champions, and has hosted 45 USTA league teams in 2004, 79 teams in 2009, and 82 teams in 2017. River Trails caters to all ages and ability levels in the Chicagoland area and has implemented recent improvements such as ceiling upgrades and LED lighting for state-of-the-art playing conditions.
