Herget Middle School Extracurricular Clubs and Sports includes activities such as an Early Morning Choir session. Early Morning Choir meets from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM on January 16 at Herget Middle School. The program also includes sports and a range of extracurricular clubs and activities offered during the 2024–25 school year.

Herget Middle School was constructed in 2005. During the 2024–25 school year, students registered 659 times for sports and took part in 20 extracurricular clubs and activities. In the same school year, 59 students earned High Honor Roll all four quarters, and 170 students achieved Honor Roll every quarter. Ms. Cindy Larry serves as principal.
In the 2024–25 school year, 182 students participated in community service projects led by the Restorative Coach, and 50 student ambassadors volunteered at feeder elementary schools and supported events. The school uses a Raptor background screen for visitors, checking various state and national criminal registries, and volunteers may be fingerprinted at the District Office for Illinois State and FBI criminal records checks. Visitors and volunteers are issued badges or ID badges after clearance. The school’s mission statement is: “We are dedicated to providing a positive, student-centered learning atmosphere that aims to empower our students with skills for life!”
