The Children's Courtyard of Aurora/Naperville – Before- and After-School & Summer Camp Programs offers before- and after-school care and a full-day Summer Camp program. The program uses an award-winning High Scope curriculum that focuses on engaged, hands-on learning, and also offers a Wondercamp summer experience that includes friendship, playtime, discovery, field trips, and food. The program is part of The Children's Courtyard of Aurora/Naperville early childhood education center, which also offers Infant Care, Preschool, Pre-K, and Before- and After-School programs for children six weeks through 12 years old. The center includes two authentic Montessori classrooms for ages 3–6, including a mixed-aged Montessori classroom for 3- to 6-year-olds with sensory-based and self-directed activities, a certified Montessori teacher who spends significant time with each child, and a full complement of Montessori equipment for hands-on learning. The team lead, Kimberly Moore, holds an Associate in Early Childhood. Staff hold CPR and First Aid certifications. The foundation of all early education programs at The Children’s Courtyard is active learning through direct, hands-on experiences with people, materials, and ideas.
