About
All About Dance offers dance classes that include styles such as ballet and hip hop. The program also includes community performances and outreach events, as well as off-site dance programming in underserved communities. All About Dance provides flexible spaces, experienced staff, and an easy booking experience for dance-filled birthday parties, rehearsals, or events.
All About Dance states that its mission is to provide exceptional dance education in a supportive, inclusive environment where every dancer feels seen, challenged, and celebrated. The leadership team includes Miss Michelle and Tori, who are described as experienced and invested in the program. The program offers a free class, programs that grow with dancers from first steps to lifelong dancers, a Recreational Program with confidence-building classes focused on joy, technique, and growth, and a Company Program with performance-based training for committed dancers ready to grow. It also offers thoughtful, age-appropriate training and support at every stage, meeting individuals where they are and providing pathways for growth at every age and level.
Beyond the Dance Floor is the nonprofit foundation of All About Dance, created to expand access to dance education, support emerging artists, and strengthen the Chicago community through movement. Through scholarships, community partnerships, and outreach programs, Beyond the Dance Floor supports dancers, families, and organizations who might not otherwise have access to high-quality dance education. Its impact includes community performances and outreach events, off-site dance programming in underserved communities, support for studios and organizations in times of need, and expanding access to professional instruction beyond traditional studio settings.
Parent testimonials describe All About Dance as a place where children have taken classes for multiple years, including both ballet and hip hop with Miss Michelle. Parents report that their children are warmly greeted by name, treated like family, and that teachers care about them and serve as role models. Families describe All About Dance as a supportive and caring community that has been a part of their lives for many years, with daughters participating from early walking age through multiple stages of dance. Parents also note that Tori and the front-of-house team run the business in a way they find responsive and helpful to parent inquiries.
