Giordano Dance Chicago Youth Arts Education connects young people with Giordano Dance Chicago, America’s original jazz dance company. Giordano Dance Chicago states that its mission is to illuminate beauty and invigorate the world with deep connections, to create and present innovative jazz dance choreography that often redefines and expands the definition of jazz dance, and to bring this American art form to audiences and students of all ages and backgrounds. The company is one of the few in the world with a foundational technique, the Nan Giordano Certification Program® with certified teachers in 9 countries and 36 states, and is one of the longest running dance companies in the world.
The leadership team includes Nan Giordano as artistic leader, Cesar G. Salinas as Associate Artistic Director, and Al Blackstone as Resident Choreographer, with founder Gus Giordano recognized as the founder and Paula and Tim Friedman listed as Lead Producing Sponsors.
