Before School, After School, and Early Learning

Before School, After School, and Early Learning is part of the YMCA’s early learning, child care, and out-of-school time offerings. These offerings are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical, and social development of kids, the support parents and families need, and the importance of maintaining a safe, clean environment for children to learn and thrive.

• Ages: 5–13 years old

The program is offered by the YMCA, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The YMCA was founded in 1844. The National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) has identified the Y as a partner for afterschool programming. The YMCA of the USA is a national resource office, and every YMCA location is independently operated. The Y collaborates with community leaders to bring healthy living within reach of all people. The YMCA describes itself as the leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community by empowering young people, improving the health and well-being of people of all ages, and inspiring action in and across communities.
