Y Summer Camp is part of YMCA camp programs that include day camp, overnight camp, family camp, and specialty camp. Y specialty camps offer programming for specific interests, including teen adventure, music, sports, and cooking, and the Y also offers camp programs designed for medical and mental health challenges or other special needs so kids of all abilities and circumstances can attend camp.

The YMCA of the USA is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), and serves as a national resource office, while every YMCA location is independently operated. The Y’s core values are caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The YMCA is the leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community by empowering young people, improving the health and well-being of people of all ages and inspiring action in and across communities. The Y serves more than 64 million people in 120 countries, and each year Ys in the U.S. serve 18 million community members. In 2020, the Y provided more than 1,400 day camp programs in the U.S., with Ys nationwide serving 364,910 kids and teens at resident and day camps, including 244,000 overnight camp participants at more than 200 overnight camps for kids and teens.
Through community programs, local outreach and global engagement, the Y collaborates with community leaders to bring healthy living within reach of all people. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Y and the Walmart Foundation partnered together to help provide food to children who need it most. In the U.S., 2.4 million youths are served in Y food programs annually. There are 2,597 Ys across the U.S., reaching people in 50 states, plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and the Y has locations in more than 10,000 neighborhoods across the United States.
