About

Happy Kids Preschool & Daycare Center offers preschool activities including art projects, play with sand and water during warm Chicago days, and three shows per year for parents and families for Christmas, Parent’s Day, and Grandparent’s Day. Children take part in field trips to pools, museums, and theaters, and they also experience visits from firefighters. The program holds a graduation ceremony for kindergartners that includes a show and a party.

• Ages: 1–6 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Price: The cost of services is between $36 and $250, depending on the child’s age and the program chosen.

The mission of Happy Kids Preschool & Daycare Center is to aid in the growth and development of students through various age-appropriate programs facilitated by qualified teachers. The childcare center is a part of the ExceleRate program and holds two parent-teacher conferences a year. Meal service includes breakfast, hot lunch, and supper, and meals meet USDA nutrition standards for young children and are described as European and “homemade.” Children are not required to be potty trained before enrollment, and assistance with potty training is provided for a small additional fee. The program uses a childcare app for daily communication and for sharing pictures and information, and it takes care of children who are approved for DHS State help and can help in preparing all the forms.

All staff are CPR, AED, and First Aid certified, and all staff members are required to have background checks from the FBI and local law enforcement agencies before their employment. Employees are trained in emergency preparedness, and the center hires well-educated teachers who are described as warm, patient, and extremely dedicated to their work. The childcare center has video monitoring in every classroom, doors equipped with electric locks and video doorbells, and large playgrounds equipped with slides, sandboxes, tricycles, outdoor blocks, and other equipment that are used daily by every age group. On a child’s first day, families are asked to bring shoes, two changes of clothes, a blanket and pillow for nap, any security items, diapers, wipes, ointments, one pack of Kleenex, and one roll of paper towel.
