McFetridge Sports Center Youth Programs

McFetridge Sports Center Youth Programs offers activities on the ice and on the court, including hockey, ice skating, Learn to Skate, public skate, Rat Hockey, Stick & Puck, adult league, freestyle ice, and private lessons. The program also includes tennis, junior team tennis, rating clinics, pickleball, tai chi, and dance.

The synchronized skating program at McFetridge Sports Center has over 30 years of tradition in a team sport that builds character, cooperation, commitment, as well as skating skills. Skating in this organization is based on fun and learning. The leadership team includes Facility Manager Sara Hilby; Skating Coordinator Jenny Ward; Hockey Coordinator Kevin Jurek; Tennis Coordinator Elliott Berman; Dance Coordinator Tiffani Lawrence; Assistant Skating Coordinator Kathy Murphy; and Assistant Wellness Coordinator Maureen Yasko. Families register for programming through ChicagoParkDistrict.com, and the programs are part of the City of Chicago’s Chicago Park District system, which includes Chicago Skates Synchronized Skating.
