Camp Kids’ Work provides organic breakfast, lunch, and snack daily from Healthy Organic Kids, with nutritious family-style meals featuring almost exclusively organic and locally sourced fresh fruits and vegetables. All students and staff must have received the immunizations required by the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the program follows strict adherence to DCFS and Illinois Department of Public Health immunization requirements with no vaccine exemptions; all students, including international students, are required to be seen by a doctor in the state of Illinois and have the DHS Health Form completed by an Illinois-licensed doctor.

Camp Kids’ Work is accredited by NIPSA (National Independent Private School Association). The program uses the Brightwheel parent communication app for daily shares, and classrooms and shared spaces have video camera monitoring. Security features include a Kisi Keyless Entry System with locked exterior doors, an alarm system connected directly to local police and fire departments, regular emergency drills for fire, tornado, intruder, and shelter-in-place, restricted perimeter and building access, security fencing, high-tech cameras, intruder safety locks, full fire suppression, and limited street visibility.

Camp Kids’ Work is staffed predominantly by year-round teachers who meet Illinois state requirements for early childhood education and have Kids’ Work training, background checks through Illinois DCFS, and CPR and First Aid certifications. Every staff member is CPR and First Aid certified, staff are trained in allergy response, and a nurse consultant provides regular training on the correct use and application of action plans, rescue inhalers, and EpiPens.
