The mission of Just For Kids, LLC and the Just For Kids Before and After School Program is to maintain a staff that is dedicated to the social, physical, psychological, and academic state of all enrolled children and to provide a safe, fun and nurturing recreational environment where children can choose from a wide variety of activities, sports, games, field trips, and more. The staff includes outstanding elementary school teachers and amazing volunteers, with 12 highly talented and experienced educators, both current and retired, and four dedicated volunteers. Teams of mentors include a licensed child psychologist and family therapist, and the fleet of 15 late model passenger vans is operated by professional drivers with at least ten years of experience and spotless driving records.

The program is celebrating 20 years of keeping school-age youth ages 3–14 safe, engaged, and having fun, with references to its work over the last 15+ years. Just For Kids is totally self-contained, with supervised classrooms for online school and study, desks spaced six feet apart, and homework assistance available from educators. Hand sanitizers are provided to each child along with customized Just For Kids face masks, and transportation is provided from the child’s school to the program. All meals are served while children are present, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and nutritional snacks throughout the day.

Just For Kids encourages community service and maintains an active church component where people from the community can come to worship, with services conducted on Wednesdays and Sundays in a parlor that accommodates 40 to 50 people. Cassandra’s father, Pastor Elliott Taylor, conducts services in the church, and Cassandra is quoted discussing the importance of retaining this active church component. The program is a registered school for Pre-K through Kindergarten and Kindergarten by the Illinois State Board of Education and has been recognized as Chicago's Top Rated Local Before & After School Care.

A parent testimonial notes that the child feels safe, has a great time at Just For Kids, loves the gym programs, and does not like to be picked up because of the fun being had there, and describes it as a blessing to have someplace safe for the child to be without daily worry.
