About

Warrior Institute of Chicago offers traditional Korean martial arts, self-defense classes, sparring, forms, weapons training, and boxing kickboxing. The program includes children's classes, a Children 4–13 program, Children's Classes Ages 2–6, Teen Warriors 13–17, and Adult Warriors 18+. The school also hosts children's birthday parties that include martial arts activities.

• Ages: 2–18 years old
• Schedule: Class options are available on weekday evenings and on Saturdays during the day.

Warrior Institute of Chicago is led by owner Oren Headen. The mission of the program is to create an enjoyable environment that allows students to improve their fitness and continuously build confidence that they can use in their daily lives, and to empower both students and the community through martial arts. Academic achievement is stressed and required of all students, and before testing to the next rank, parents are required to sign a statement about the student's behavior at home and in school.

One parent reports that their son has trained at Warrior Institute of Chicago since age 4, has competed in sparring, forms, and weapons, and has earned over thirty 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies. Multiple parents describe the instructors as teaching respect and discipline, being engaging, and caring about the kids, and they note seeing growth in their children's focus, self-control, coordination, and sense of accomplishment. Families also describe the program as a place where children learn self-defense, basic motor skills, sportsmanship, and dedication, and several parents state that their children enjoy the classes and look forward to attending.
