Traditional Day Camps
Lakeshore Sport & Fitness - Lincoln Park, 1320 West Fullerton, Chicago, IL 60614
About
Traditional Day Camps include weekly themes, dress-up days, crafts, games, sports, park adventures, playground time, music, yoga, and camp-wide special events. Campers take part in swimming, fun swim, swim assessments, and swim lessons, along with campfire opening ceremonies and field trips that connect to each week’s theme. PeeWee Camp follows a playschool-based format where campers practice letters, shapes, numbers, and colors, and join in themed crafts and activities.
• Ages: 2–12 years old
• Schedule: Full-day, half-day, single-day, and PeeWee camp options with morning start times and midday or afternoon pick-up
Full-Day Camp for ages 4–12 runs from 9am–3pm and includes swimming four days a week with camp counselors, a quick swim assessment at the start of the week, and back floaties for those who need them. Each week has a theme that is celebrated on Wacky Wednesday with dress-up and a camp-wide special event, and on Friday there is a field trip inspired by the week’s theme for Full-Day Camp. Lunch and a snack are provided for Full-Day Camp.
Half-Day Camp for ages 4–5 runs from 9am–12:30pm and is a shortened version of Full-Day Camp for younger campers. Half-Day Camp includes swimming, a snack, and walks to nearby parks and playgrounds, and does not include field trips or lunch. Single-Day Camp for ages 4–12 runs from 9am–3pm, is offered by the day, and uses a mixed-age group with kids ages 4–12 together.
Single-Day Camp includes campfire opening ceremonies, sports, crafts, playground time, fun swim, snack, and lunch, and does not include Wacky Wednesday or Field Trip Friday and is a separate group from other traditional camp groups. Campers in Traditional Day Camps are split into age-appropriate groups, and groups stay consistent throughout the week. Each week of camp has a special theme complemented by “Camptivities.”
PeeWee Camp for ages 2–4 runs from 9am–12:30pm as a half-day playschool-based program. PeeWee Camp offers specialties such as music and yoga weekly, provides swim lessons five days a week, and uses weekly themes to guide crafts and activities. Snack is provided for PeeWee Camp.
New campers and returning campers can register for Traditional Day Camps through provided registration links, and camp questions can be sent to [email protected].
