Oui Chef

Oui Chef offers weekly cooking classes, one-off classes, gingerbread house decorating classes, winter break camp, and private cooking classes. The weekly classes meet once each week for 75 minutes with monthly tuition, and the one-off classes are 1 hour long with 24-hour advance reservations required. Gingerbread house decorating classes include candy, icing, other edible decorations, and homemade hot chocolate.

Programs

• Weekly Classes — 18 months-15 years · One time each week; 75 minutes; enroll at all times; monthly tuition · $160 per month · For ages 18 months-4 years, a caregiver must accompany the child and be an active participant. Ages 5 and up can be dropped off. Maximum of two children per caregiver for the younger group.
• One-Off Classes — 2-5 years · Once a week during the school year; one hour; 24-hour advance reservations required · $38 per class · Hands-on, mostly individual work. Payment is non-refundable, but can be transferred to another class.
• Gingerbread House Decorating Classes — All ages · Friday, Saturday, and Sunday class times listed · $60 per class · Oui Chef makes their own houses from scratch. Includes candy, icing, other edible decorations, and homemade hot chocolate.
• Winter Break Camp — 6-12 years · 3-hour sessions · $80 per session · On days with morning and afternoon sessions, kids signed up for both can stay for the hour between sessions at no extra charge. Nut-free snack or lunch requested.
• Private Cooking Classes — Group cooking events for school field trips, scouting after school events, or friends getting together. Age- and group-size appropriate activity planned.

About the provider

Oui Chef is led by Chef Laura Ragano, owner and chef. She graduated first in her class from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY in 1999 and attended The French Pastry School, where she graduated in 2001. The program was founded in 2016 by Laura Ragano and focuses on small class sizes, individual work, and individual attention for children ages 18 months to 15 years.

Closed Fridays and Sundays. Classes are enrolling at all times. Weekly tuition is charged monthly until an end date is stated. If a child misses class, one make-up class each month can be accommodated or one credit applied the following month. Children who are dropped off must be able to use the bathroom on their own. 24-hour advance reservations are required for one-off classes. Payment is non-refundable, but can be transferred to another class.
