FAME Center offers art, music, theater, technology, and classic camp activities, along with group classes and early childhood programming. The program provides private lessons for a wide variety of instruments and arts experiences, including options like a music lesson, a theater class, and time for a child coloring. Instruction is available in six creative disciplines: Music, Visual Art, Drama, Creative Writing, Digital Art, and Art/Music Therapy, and teaching artists are also available for events through the Hire Our Musicians! option.

FAME Center was founded in 2018. It is a nonprofit dedicated to multidisciplinary arts education with a mission to provide equitable access to arts education so that the next generation has creative tools to uncover their potential and imagine their futures. Teachers at FAME Center are described as highly qualified and passionate.
The leadership team includes Executive Director and Founder Sheila Fortson, along with a board that includes professionals such as Marc Doggett, Jodi Koslow Martin, Ph.D., Richard Bloomfield, Elizabeth L. Carter, Esq., Zachary Day, Ken Gibbs, Courtney Jackson, Greg Williams, MBA, Pamela Norfleet, Mike Knowles, Thembi Ndebele, Dr. Felecia Thompson (Board Emeritus), Dr. Stephen Michael Newby (Board Emeritus), Thomas S. Fortson, Ph.D, and Bob Ford. FAME Center offers scholarships and community programs in underserved neighborhoods like Armour Square and Austin, runs the Feeding the Whole Child - FAME Center x Nourishing Hope Snack Bags for Summer effort, and forms programming partnerships that connect schools, community organizations, and businesses with music and arts education. One student, Matthew, shared that he stayed at FAME because Ms. Sheila made him feel welcome, was always there for him, and that her teaching helped him excel in piano and other things outside of piano.
