Tutoring Chicago One-to-One Tutoring offers long-term, one-to-one tutoring between students and volunteer tutors. The program provides weekly one-to-one tutoring sessions, with each 1st through 12th grade student paired with a single adult volunteer for the duration of the school year. Digital or in-person tutoring opportunities are available during the school year.

For 60 years, Tutoring Chicago has focused its mission on delivering the power of education to children facing economic barriers through one-to-one tutoring and high-quality programming, beginning in 1965 as the Cabrini Green Tutoring Program started by a group of Montgomery Ward employees. Tutoring Chicago states that its mission, programs, and delivery are centered on one-to-one relationships between students facing economic barriers and supportive tutors. The program connects economically challenged students with volunteer tutors and offers programs across the city, with a commitment to being a safe, inclusive, and equitable learning space for all and to authentic community engagement that positively impacts neighborhood residents.
