Tutoring Chicago One-to-One Tutoring offers long-term, one-to-one tutoring between students and adult volunteers. Each student is paired with a single adult volunteer for the duration of the school year and meets for weekly one-to-one tutoring sessions. Digital and in-person tutoring options are available during the school year.

For 60 years, Tutoring Chicago has focused its mission on delivering the power of education to children facing economic barriers through one-to-one tutoring and high-quality programming that is academic, developmental, and reflective. The organization began in 1965 as the Cabrini Green Tutoring Program, started by a group of Montgomery Ward employees, and has served thousands of elementary school students through weekly one-to-one tutoring with adult volunteers. Tutoring Chicago states that it delivers the power of education through one-to-one tutoring and that its mission, programs, and delivery are centered in the belief that students facing economic barriers can access brighter futures through one-to-one relationships with supportive tutors. The program is committed to being a safe, inclusive, and equitable learning space for all.
