Oakwood Junior Golf Programs include Junior Golf Camp, PGA Junior League Golf, and a Junior Golf Membership. The programs teach young golfers of all abilities skills that will improve swings, lower scores, and allow them to enjoy the game that will last a lifetime. The program emphasizes long-lasting life values, perseverance, and personal pride, and every Oakwood Junior Golfer is described as a winner.
• Ages: 6–13 years old
PGA Junior League Golf in this program is designed to bring a “Little League” atmosphere to the game of golf, using 12-player teams of boys and girls age 13 and under in a structured league environment for young golfers to compete and have fun. Oakwood is committed to instilling and developing a love of golf in junior golfers by providing a fun, safe environment for young golfers to learn the game, make friends, and practice their skills. The programs are supported by 2 PGA professionals and staff. Oakwood’s mission is to delight members, families, and guests with a high-quality country club experience at a great value, and to make people feel at home by providing services in a personalized manner that creates a strong sense of belonging in a relaxing atmosphere. This season the Quad Cities has 10 total PGA Junior League teams, with 5 East and 5 West teams in 2 regions. Parents have described Oakwood as having great food, a pleasant atmosphere, and excellent service, and one parent compared the bar atmosphere to “Cheers” where everybody knows your name.
