About
The Avery Coonley School Summer Program offers enrichment classes and a recreation program that include STEAM, math, theater, reading, sports, art, instructional swimming, outdoor adventure, music, canoeing, games, and crafts. The program includes planned activities between morning enrichment classes and during the afternoon, with more than 130 offerings open to children in preschool through eighth grade. All registration is completed online, and options are available in partnership with Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development (CTD) and ChessEd.

The Avery Coonley School Summer Program has been serving advanced and gifted learners in preschool through grade eight and has been kindling the minds of gifted learners for over 100 years. Academically and physically challenging courses and an individualized, hands-on approach are described as hallmarks of the Avery Coonley summer experience.
