Panther Football Camp includes drills to prepare players for the upcoming season and drills where a player will tackle a bag. The camp is part of Panther Football & Cheer, which offers both tackle and flag football programs and assigns tackle football players to teams based on age, weight, and ability after the first week of practice. Cheerleaders in the broader organization are assigned to a cheer squad based on age.

• Schedule: Pre-season spring camp is a 2-day camp on April 16th–17th from 6:30–8:30pm
• Price: The cost is $90
Camp is open to any incoming Kindergartener through 8th grader, and registration for the fall Panther football season is not required to register for camp. Families may sign up for one or both camps, and registered participants receive camp swag and food on the last day of camp. Athletes must be registered by March 26th to be guaranteed camp swag, and there are no refunds for camp for any reason, including injury or illness. There is no player-on-player contact during camp, but there are drills where a player will tackle a bag. Tackle football players in the organization must be between 7–14 years old by August 1 of the current year, flag football players must be between 5–7 years old by August 1, and cheerleaders must be between 5–14 years old by August 1. For safety concerns, any 7-year-old who weighs over 70 pounds is not eligible to play flag football but is welcome to join the 8U tackle football team. Panthers is a competitive tackle football and cheer organization open to athletes who live in Downers Grove and surrounding areas, is a travel league with opponents in the western suburbs, and is a member of the Bill George Youth Football League (BGYFL). The Panthers focus on developing the fundamentals of football and cheerleading through teamwork and sportsmanship, and every child is welcome to play. For 60 years the organization has provided a structured, safe and secure environment for children to learn life skills both on and off the field, and this is the 61st season of Panther Football & Cheer. Panther Football & Cheer is a proud affiliate of the Downers Grove Park District.
