MAKEart Studios

MAKEart Studios offers drawing, painting, and mixed media classes. The program holds classes in a small in-home art studio and also offers classes off site around the community.

• Ages: 5–18 years old

MAKEart Studios is led by artist and certified art educator Heather Klausa. Working from her home studio, Heather teaches small group classes, develops her own body of work, and takes on select client projects. MAKEart instruction is grounded in materials and technique, designed to build skill and support individual interpretation. Classes at MAKEart Studios are designed with a focus on depth rather than pace, giving students time to build skills and work thoughtfully with materials. Students stay engaged from start to finish, spending their time learning, making, and refining their work. Students develop art techniques with high end art materials alongside lessons that build over time. Projects are guided but not rigid, leaving room for each student’s own voice to come through, and each student’s piece reflects the artist who made it. Students attend from across DuPage County, including Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, Hinsdale, Lombard, and Naperville.
