Downers Grove Swim and Racquet Club Swim, Dive, Tennis & Water Polo Programs include recreational swimming, swim lessons, a swim team, dive lessons, tennis, pickleball, water polo, sand volleyball, and rustic camping. The program also offers Junior Team Tennis programs, USTA tournaments, weekday games, events, and special celebrations.
• Schedule: Courts are open from 8am–10pm.
• Price: For using the courts before or after pool hours, members can acquire a key to the courts for a $50 deposit, which is refundable upon return of the key.
The club offers three pools, a diving board, a slide, locker rooms, three tennis courts, and six pickleball courts, all available for lighted play, along with a gazebo for parties, a snack deck, BBQ areas, and rustic camping areas. Use of the facilities and social events runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Competitive swim, dive, and tennis teams are available, and water polo is new in 2024. Tennis-only memberships will be available again for the 2026 season, and tennis programming takes priority over open play on the courts. Only paid Downers Grove Swim and Racquet Club members are eligible to participate in tennis programs, and only current members may sign up for classes and leagues. Courts gates are unlocked during normal pool hours, and after-hours court access is available via key with a refundable deposit. Limited snack deck items are offered, and outside food and beverages are welcome. Club membership is open to the public, subject to availability, and social programs include weekday games, events, and special celebrations.
Established in 1954, the club is celebrating 72 years in the community and its heritage in 2026. The mission states that it is a private, family-oriented club committed to a welcoming and friendly environment for all members and guests. Amanda Hanon serves as the Tennis Pro for 2026 and is a PTR Level 1 and Level 2 Certified Professional. Amanda has built partnerships with schools, park districts, and local communities across the west suburbs, organizes Junior Team Tennis programs and USTA tournaments with the Chicago District Tennis Association, and has expanded Tennis Titans through partnerships with tennis clubs, UTR, and the USTA.
