The Elgin Youth Sports League "Elgin Steelers" is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that offers youth football and cheer through Chicagoland Pop Warner. The organization is part of the Chicagoland Pop Warner family. The mission of the EYSL is to empower young athletes through discipline, teamwork, academic responsibility, and positive sportsmanship while providing a safe, inclusive, culturally supportive environment that encourages growth, confidence, leadership, and community pride.
The leadership team includes Keith Ligon (President), Marcei Simon (Vice President), Vanessa Zamudio (Treasurer), Somer Heaps (Secretary), Shaun Hopkins (Football Director), Rickey Elam (Assistant Football Director), Sabrina Wilbon (Cheer Director), Lizzy Kelley (Concessions), Larry Williams (Field Marshall & Safety Director), Chris Kelley (Field Maintenance), Vanessa Bobo (Scholastics & Eligibility), Darius Holmes (Spirit Wear), Shaniah Morse (Registrar), and Billy Rodriguez (Off Season Events).
