Since 1982, Center for Talent Development, part of Northwestern’s School of Education and Social Policy, has provided comprehensive enrichment and accelerative programs and services. CTD is dedicated to helping academically talented students, PreK through grade 12, realize their full potential. Over 40 years of experience inform its approach to developing children’s talents and providing talent development pathways consulting. CTD provides grade-level assessment for children age 4 through grade 3 and above-grade-level assessment for students in grades 2 through 9. Need-based financial aid is available for most CTD programs and assessments, and CTD has several scholarship options and collaborates with the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation.

CTD has been accredited through Cognia as a Nonpublic-Supplementary school since April 1, 1994, and this accreditation allows CTD to grant academic credit for rigorous high school courses offered through its programs. CTD also offers parent and educator learning communities and program development for schools. One CTD alum stated, “I’d recommend CTD to anyone. It’s challenging, exciting, fun, and different from any experience I ever had in school or at another summer camp. CTD has given me lifelong skills, knowledge, and friendships.”
