RAS Camps

RAS Camps offers ten themed Adventure Weeks that include activities such as splashy water games, sunny outdoor play, wild water days, and a beach day. Campers take part in art, crafts, creative arts projects, Crafternoons, creative crafternoons, and hands-on projects like creating an ocean inspired tie dye sun hat, designing and sculpting paper mache sea creatures, and designing a colorful Great Barrier Reef. The program also includes games, sports & games, team-based games & competitions, Olympic style games, themed games, indoor & outdoor adventures, running wild outside, playing in the gym, and screen-free fun that keeps kids moving and social. Additional activities include silly science, wacky science experiments, gooey experiments, maker challenges, building & engineering challenges, creative building projects, building, testing, problem solving, and creating imaginative inventions such as designing and launching parachutes and designing and building mini golf courses for a Camp Putt Off. Campers can also join the Slime and Shine Obstacle Challenge, take part in hands on activities inspired by American traditions and communities, design and stitch a felt stuffed animal, try new hobbies and creative skills like magic, sewing, and crafting, and help with designing and running fair games and attractions for a county fair. The program includes reading a book, creative writing, creative time, arts, imagination, fun fitness, active play, laughing and singing along to goofy songs, hilarious skits, and side-splitting jokes, along with weekly field trips and experiences and the option of adding weekly field trips and experiences.

• Schedule: Open during Summer Break in the school district, open March–April during Spring Break, and open year-round for single-day holidays, short breaks, teacher workdays, early dismissals, and other school holidays and workdays
• Price: Financial assistance available for eligible families to help reduce the cost of camp

RAS Camps is part of Right At School and uses local staff who know the school and community. The program offers flexible options so families can choose their days, their weeks, and their schedule, and camp availability varies by location. Before Camp: Arrive & Thrive is included in all Full-Day and Half-Day AM Summer Camp plans, and After Camp: Stay & Play is included in all Full-Day and Half-Day PM Summer Camp plans. Summer Camps require a separate authorization for financial support compared to school-year programs.

One parent shared that RAS has been a great experience, that their daughter truly enjoys being there each day, and that the program staff are helpful, kind, and communicative. The parent also noted that they enjoy the newsletters each week and learning about the fun and educational activities the students have been participating in.
