About
The Junior Golf Program focuses on Junior Golf at Rolling Hills Golf Course. The program takes place at a twenty-seven-hole complex that includes an 18-hole course, an executive course that also offers Foot Golf, a driving range, and a bar and grill. The executive course is described as enhancing the already wildly popular Junior Golf program.
Rolling Hills Golf Course is locally owned and operated, with a stated mission to deliver great golf and uniquely personal service to long-time players and beginners alike. The course and 5,000 sq. ft. club-house are designed to accommodate leagues and outings, and the facility is described as a well maintained, fun golf course with all the amenities except a swimming pool and croquet lawn. Rolling Hills has been providing an enjoyable golf experience and exceptional value for thousands of golfers for over 30 years and was featured as “Course of the Quarter” in the Mississippi Valley Golf Course Superintendents Association newsletter “Gateway Green.” Leadership and key figures associated with the course include Superintendent Bob Kane; Howard Schumacher, who served as course superintendent and later Assistant Superintendent; consultant Lou Miller, referred to as the “Golf god of the Metro East”; golf instructor and later Director of Golf Bob Van Hatten; consultant Paul Owens; and previous superintendent Mike Quallen.
