• Ages: 2–18 years old
Dance Connection, formerly Peggy Leah’s School of Dance, has been a community-based studio serving Grayslake and the surrounding communities for over 50 years. The studio has been bringing Center Street to Center Stage for over 50 years, and each student can perform in a traditional stage production with professional audio and visual support at the annual recital, which is held at The James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts in Grayslake. Dance Connection has a team of professional instructors, led by Bridget Blake, who has been the Artistic Director of Dance Connection's Spotlight Company dancers since 1999 and took over ownership of Dance Connection in May 2006. The studio’s mission states that it offers structured dance education with a creative approach for students ages 2–18, in an inclusive and supportive environment welcoming dancers of all abilities and aspirations, where each dancer is supported in reaching their personal best and encouraged to explore their unique potential through traditional dance techniques and performance opportunities.
