Glen Grove Summer Camp

Glen Grove Summer Camp focuses on riding and learning English riding skills, along with grooming, tacking, and general horsemanship. Campers also spend time preparing for a horse show, including learning about appropriate attire, rules, and the format of the show. Campers ride for one hour each day during camp sessions.

• Ages: 7–14 years old
• Schedule: One-week riding camp sessions, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am–2:00 pm; Special Session Horse Show Camp runs July 6–12 with Monday–Friday 9:00 am–2:00 pm, a Saturday afternoon practice (time TBD), and a Sunday PTS Horse Show (time TBD)
• Price: Tuition is $800 per week; Special Session Horse Show Camp July 6–12 costs $2500 for the week and includes all horse show expenses

The program invites 12 students each week between the ages of 7–14 and accepts riders of any level of experience, with no prior riding experience required. A Special Session Horse Show Camp is offered with six spaces available, and the fee for this session includes all horse show expenses. English lessons are available for ages 7 and up.

Campers are asked to purchase a helmet and to wear long pants, preferably jeans or full-length leggings, along with a hard-sole shoe or paddock boot; sweat pants are not suggested. Shorts can be brought and changed into after riding. It is suggested that campers bring a lunch or snack and a bottle of water. An on-site store, Short Stirrups, offers discounts for new students and campers.
