Sunrise Day Camp-Chicago

Sunrise Day Camp-Chicago offers Summer Day Camp, Sunrise Fundays, Sunrise on Wheels, and SunriseVX – Virtual Camp!. Summer Day Camp is free of charge for children ages 3 1/2 to 16 and includes medical support, transportation on staffed, air-conditioned buses, and activities adapted for each child.

Programs

• Summer Day Camp — 3-1/2 to 16 · $0 · Offered free of charge; includes medical support, transportation, and activities adapted for each child.
• Sunrise Fundays — 3 1/2–16 · School-year special activity days for campers.
• Sunrise on Wheels — In-hospital recreational activities for children awaiting and undergoing treatment in pediatric oncology units at participating hospitals.
• SunriseVX – Virtual Camp! — Live and interactive camp experience through sessions throughout the year.

About the provider

Sunrise Day Camp-Chicago is a program of JCC Chicago and a proud member of the Sunrise Association. It serves children diagnosed with cancer and their siblings. Sunrise Association oversees summer day camps, year-round programs, and in-hospital recreational activities. The leadership team includes Karen Abrams, Camp Director; Leslee Cohen-Lavin, Manager of Operations/Registrar; and Allie Huey, Gift Officer.

Summer Day Camp is free of charge. Siblings are welcome. Sunrise on Wheels siblings and families are welcome and encouraged to participate. Sunrise Fundays transportation is available from select locations. Sunrise Day Camp-Chicago serves children diagnosed with cancer and their siblings.
