About

Palladia Farm Summer Camp focuses on horsemanship and horseback riding, with campers learning skills such as haltering, leading, grooming, putting a bridle and saddle on a horse, and mounting safely. Campers ride at the walk, trot, and canter, navigate the ring at a walk and trot, and may ride over low jumps in 30–45 minute semi-private or group riding lessons. Each day also includes a session in the clubroom and barn aisle focused on learning about horses, including recognizing horse breeds, horse colors, and different styles of riding, along with arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, games, and miscellaneous fun around the barn.

• Ages: 6–11 years old
• Schedule: Week-long sessions, Tuesday to Friday, 9:30am to 3:00pm
• Price: The cost is $650 per week-long session, per camper, payable in advance.

Palladia Farm Summer Camp is part of Palladia Farm’s 2026 Summer Camp program at a premier full-service equestrian business with an emphasis on horsemanship both on the ground and in the saddle. The camp is open to students from ages 6 to 11, and no prior horseback riding experience is needed. The program notes a low staff-to-camper ratio and constant supervision, and students ride in one 30–45 minute semi-private or group lesson with instructors daily.

Palladia Farm was founded in 2003 and operates as a Hunter/Jumper barn with USHJA-certified trainers. The leadership team includes Rachel Johnson, Owner & Head Trainer; Margaret Clayton, Barn Owner & Assistant to Rachel; Poppy VandenBiesen, Instructor; and Stephanie Skrodzki, Barn Administrator and occasional Instructor. Margaret is a SafeSport-trained United States Hunter/Jumper Association Certified Trainer and an American Riding Instructors Association certified trainer. The stated mission is that at Palladia, the program values the individuality and creativity of every child.
