About the provider
Lumity started its two-year training program in 2013. Lumity connects Chicago students with businesses and offers career site visits, resume-writing and job interviewing workshops, coaching sessions, tutoring, one-day challenges, volunteer opportunities, and partner, community, and school partnerships.
Submitting the interest form does not automatically enroll or guarantee acceptance. After submission, a Lumity team member contacts the applicant to discuss the program. YouthBuild and Career Launch eligibility requirements listed: 17 to 24 years, Illinois resident, high school diploma or GED, interest in construction/building trades or healthcare/technology/transportation, and able to pass a drug test for YouthBuild & Career Launch. Support services mentioned include transportation, childcare, counseling, housing, mentoring, life skills training, tutoring, and job placement assistance.
