Lincoln-Way Youth Flag Football

Lincoln-Way Youth Flag Football is a non-contact flag football league for ages 613. It includes personalized game jerseys, personalized practice shirts, a flag belt set, and a Pro Bowl shirt when applicable. Teams are formed through a league-run draft in late July, and no prior football experience is required.

About the provider

The program teaches the fundamentals of football in a safe, non-contact, age-appropriate environment, with emphasis on proper technique, sportsmanship, and reduced contact while still providing a competitive game experience. The season runs from late July to late September. Practices begin in late July or early August and are held twice a week on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from about 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Games are typically Saturday mornings for Co-Ed divisions and Sunday mornings for Girls divisions, with up to two weeknight games during the season.

No prior football experience is required. Teams are formed through a league-run draft in late July. Co-Ed divisions use a draft to balance teams; Girls divisions are grouped by current school/future high school in a league-run draft. End-of-season single-elimination Flag Bowl includes commemorative awards for all players and rings for championship teams.
