About
Camp Read / Camp Math offers activities to improve skills and build interest in math and reading. Camp Read includes activities that give students a boost in reading skills, while Camp Math focuses on reviewing basic math skills and developing math strategies.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Camp Read is an 8-day Monday–Thursday morning camp, and Camp Math is a 4-day Monday–Thursday morning camp.
• Price: Credit Card fee will be added for online payments.
The mission of the Grundy County Special Education Cooperative is to prepare students with disabilities to be functional members of society by providing specialized programs, services and personnel in a learning environment that maximizes individual potential. Camp Read and Camp Math are designed with activities to improve skills and build interest in math and reading. Students from Grundy County Schools completing grades K–7th who have an active IEP or are involved in the RtI process are invited to attend. Online registration includes completing a registration form and paying online, or paying by check or cash. Free summer meals are part of the Summer Food Service Program funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered by the Illinois State Board of Education. USDA is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. The provision of programs and services for children with disabilities is governed by the federal Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA), the School Code of Illinois and regulations promulgated thereunder. Programs and services are funded through a combination of tuition and administrative assessments paid by member districts and federal grants.
